Bathroom Remodeling for Lake Township Homeowners
Lake Township is thirty-five square miles and thirty thousand people, and two of its towns have their own pages on this site. If you are in Uniontown or Hartville, start there. This page is for the rest: Greentown and the streets off State Street in the southwest, Cairo on the Plain Township line, Aultman on the Green side, Mount Pleasant and the Congress Lake corner in the northeast, and the township roads between them.
That rest is two kinds of house a mile apart. Along State Street and in the subdivisions behind Greentown Intermediate, Shepherd's Gate, St. Ives, Deer Pines, the houses are nineties and two-thousands colonials in North Canton City Schools, with the builder master bath that has aged out all at once. On the township roads between them, and out toward Congress Lake, the lots are three acres and up and the houses are older: farmhouses, fifties ranches, a bath that was added or never updated, on a well and a septic system.
Joseph Evans does the work himself from the shop in Uniontown, inside the township, so a Lake Township bathroom is a short drive down Cleveland Avenue or Market Avenue. The first step is a fifteen to thirty minute call that ends with a range.

"I truly wish I could give this young man 100 stars. He is VERY dedicated to doing the job right. I could tell from day one that he treated this room in my home like it was in his own home. My husband and I have been do it ourself people for over twenty years. He is 100% disabled now but Joe took the time to listen and do exactly what I asked of him. My husband's smile when he saw the room finished was a true blessing. Thank you for the great job you did on this half bath that will now serve as bathroom and first floor laundry. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!"

"Joe with Redeemed Contracting recently completed a remodel of our very outdated master bath. We were very impressed from the start - Joe met with us to hear our ideas, formulated a plan and presented a very reasonable quote. He was very responsive to any questions and ideas and had great communication throughout the project. We are thrilled with Joe's work and the end result, and will use Redeemed again. We highly recommend Joe and his team at Redeemed Contracting!"

What a Lake Township bathroom runs into
Which side of the township you are on. In the subdivision belt behind Greentown Intermediate the job is the nineties master bath: the garden tub comes out, a tile shower on a Schluter waterproofing system goes in its footprint with a bench, the oak vanity and the brass go, and the plumbing stays put. Those streets are mostly on county water and sewer, so fixtures are a straight choice. Out on State Street and the township roads it is a well and a softener conversation first, then a septic check on where a new drain can run, then the older-house work: a cast iron drain that runs the long way, a floor that is not level, a bath that was fitted in after the house was built. We ask which side you are on in the first two minutes of the call.
Common Questions
Bathroom Remodeling Questions from Lake Township Homeowners
Straightforward answers to what homeowners in the Lake Township area ask us most often.
Tile or surround, heated floor, glass door, vanity. On the subdivision side the layout usually stays, which keeps the job out of the top tier even when everything is replaced. On a farmhouse lot the drain may have to move, and that is the fifth item. Range on the phone first. The tiers are on our bathroom remodeling page.
Outside the village of Hartville, the Stark County Building Department at 7235 Whipple Avenue NW in North Canton, after a zoning check at the Lake Township hall at 12360 Market Avenue North. Inside Hartville, the village does its own. Either way we file it and meet the inspector, and licensed tradesmen do the plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
Moving plumbing, when it moves. On the farm lots that means cast iron coming out. In the nineties colonials off State Street nothing moves and tile is the biggest line, and the one that lasts.
In a farmhouse with one full bath, yes. In a nineties master bath, the garden tub almost always goes, and the hall tub stays for the kids. A freestanding soaking tub can replace the garden tub if you actually want one.
The township's median house is from 1978, but the farm lots along State Street and out toward Congress Lake are older than that, and their baths were added after the fact: long drain runs, settled floors, a century of wiring, well water. We plan for it before demo.
About a week for a tub-to-shower conversion, longer for a full remodel, with the schedule in your hand before we start. Everything is on hand before demo, and the shop is inside the township.
The call is. Fifteen to thirty minutes, ending with a range. If it fits, we book a visit and tell you the consultation fee first. On a Lake Township call the first question is which side you are on: county water and sewer in the subdivisions, or well and septic on the township roads.
A bathroom is often the first room a Lake Township homeowner calls about. We also do kitchen remodeling in Lake Township, basement finishing in Lake Township, and home additions in Lake Township.
Everything we do in a bathroom, with the price tiers, is on the main bathroom remodeling page. The full list of towns and townships we work in is on the service areas page.
