About Redeemed Contracting

A small, owner-operated remodeling company in Northeast Ohio — built on honest work and clear communication.

Joseph Evans — Redeemed Contracting

Our Story

The Name Says It All

Redeemed Contracting was founded on a straightforward idea: remodeling shouldn't be stressful, and a contractor should do exactly what they say they're going to do.

Joseph Evans started Redeemed Contracting to offer Northeast Ohio homeowners something that was harder to find than it should be — a remodeler who shows up on time, communicates clearly, protects your home during construction, and delivers work you're genuinely proud of.

"Redeemed" isn't just our name — it's what we believe we are. We are redeemed by Jesus Christ, and we want to share His love everywhere we go, including the way we serve our clients and care for their homes.

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."

Colossians 3:23

That verse shapes the way we work every day. While we are grateful for every customer we serve, we believe our ultimate accountability is to the Lord, and our character in the workplace should reflect that. If faith is important to you too, we're always happy to talk about Jesus.

The name says it all: take spaces that are outdated, worn out, or not working — and restore them to something better. That same conviction carries into every project we take on, and into the way we treat the people who invite us into their homes.

Redeemed Contracting is a remodeling company working out of Uniontown, in Stark County. Bathrooms, kitchens, basements, additions, and whole-home projects that cross every trade at once.

Joseph Evans runs every one of them personally.

What we would want you to know

There is a version of this page that lists credentials and moves on. Here is the more useful one.

We care about the projects more than is strictly rational. Joseph has lost sleep over jobs, because he wants them to be right for the people paying for them. When a customer is not happy, he is not happy. That is not a line for a website, it is the actual reason things get redone until they are right.

The cross on our trucks is not decoration. We stand by our faith, and it shapes how we treat people. Everyone who lets us into their home gets treated with respect, and that is the standard whether the job is a shower surround or a second story.

We like building beautiful things. That sounds obvious for a remodeler and it is not. Plenty of good tradesmen are solving a problem. We are trying to make something worth looking at, and the difference shows up in the details nobody asked about.

What actually makes us different

We will tell you the number on the phone.

We know our own pricing and we will talk about it on a first call. No hoops, no site visit required before anybody says anything useful. Most of this industry will not do that, and it is the single most common complaint homeowners have.

We follow up.

We are not going to come out, look at your scope, send a bid and disappear. If we quote it, we stay in touch about it.

We will tell you when we are not the right call.

If your project is not something we should be doing, or if the smaller version of it is the better one, we say so. That has cost us work and it has been worth it every time.

We over-communicate on purpose.

Updates every Tuesday and Friday at minimum, usually more. Photos and video as materials arrive, daily contact while we are in the house, and anything that turns up raised the day it turns up rather than at the end.

How we work

We do not start until your materials are here.

Everything gets ordered and delivered before a wall is opened. That is how a two week bathroom stays a two week bathroom rather than stretching into two months waiting on a vanity.

We stay on your job until it is finished.

One project at a time. Our crew is not on your house for three days and then somewhere else for a week, and you are never left guessing when somebody is coming back.

We walk it with you before we leave.

A punch list, worked before we go, and follow-ups a few days, a few weeks and a few months later to check everything is holding up.

Every job carries a one year craftsmanship warranty.

If something we installed fails within the year and it traces back to our workmanship, we come back and correct it at no additional labor cost. It does not cover normal wear, damage, or the house settling, and materials stay under their own manufacturer warranties. All of that is written down before you sign.

A project we are proud of

A couple in Atwater had their bathroom done about ten years ago and never loved it. They had been rushed through the tile choices and lived with the result. There were also a few installation problems that turned up once we looked properly.

They had a design done through a third party, and they were ready to move before it was finished. We waited. They had our range and they were comfortable with it, so there was no reason to rush a decision they had already been rushed through once.

The brief, in the homeowner's own words, was Skyrim with modern plumbing.

It is a 15 by 12 master bathroom. Everything came out. A seven by three foot walk-in shower with a pebble floor and a Schluter linear drain, slate tile across the walls, Schluter waterproofing throughout because there were early signs of water getting where it should not. Schluter DITRA heat under the floor, wood-look tile over it. We moved the tub plumbing so the freestanding tub sat properly in its corner. Custom stained beams in the cathedral ceiling. It is the kind of bathroom remodeling the whole business is built around.

She loved it. What she mentioned most was not the tile, it was how upfront we had been the whole way through.

Credentials

Insured. BBB accredited with an A- rating. Licensed tradesmen brought in for all plumbing, electrical and HVAC work, as Ohio requires.

Joseph trained at Schluter's Innovation Workshop and we build with Schluter waterproofing systems, which is the part of a bathroom nobody sees and the part that decides whether it lasts.

We are not cash only. Nothing about how we work is hidden, including what it costs. Everything we build is on the services page, and what customers say about it is on the reviews page.

Where we work

Based in Uniontown and working across Stark County, with projects in parts of Summit and Portage County. Hartville, Lake Township, North Canton, Jackson Township, Green, Marlboro and Randolph are all regular territory.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We answer within an hour during business hours, often faster.
