Accessibility Statement

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities.

We have not yet had this site independently audited, so we describe it as partially conformant: most of the standard is met, and the parts we know are outstanding are listed below rather than glossed over.

• An accessibility panel, reachable from the button in the bottom-left corner of every page, offering larger text, high contrast and underlined links.
• A skip link as the first thing you reach by keyboard, so you can jump past the navigation straight to the page content.
• Full keyboard operation. Menus open and close with the keyboard, the dropdown can be moved through with the arrow keys, and pressing Escape closes a menu and puts you back where you were.
• A clearly visible outline on whatever element you have focused.
• Proper page landmarks and headings, so a screen reader can announce and jump between the regions of a page.
• Reduced motion. If your device is set to minimize animation, this site respects that.
• Pinch zoom is not blocked. You can magnify any page on a phone or tablet.
• The current page is marked in the navigation for screen readers, and shown with an underline rather than color alone.
• Text alternatives on images, with decorative images hidden from screen readers.
• Phone numbers and email addresses are links, labeled for screen readers.

Listing these is more useful to you than claiming they do not exist.

• Color contrast has not been measured across the whole site. Some body text, borders and text over images may fall below the required ratio. The high contrast option in the accessibility panel is available in the meantime.
• Touch target sizes have not been audited. Some buttons and links may be smaller than the recommended minimum, which can make them awkward to hit accurately.
• Behavior at 200 percent text size has not been fully tested on every page, so some layouts may need horizontal scrolling at that size.
• A small number of blog articles show a description of an intended photograph instead of the photograph. These read as an empty bordered box with a caption. They are placeholders awaiting real project photos.

If something on this site stopped you doing what you came to do, we want to hear about it, and we will not need you to explain why it matters.

This statement reflects a review of the site's own code and markup carried out in August 2026, covering page structure, keyboard operation, focus handling, text alternatives and motion preferences.

It has not been assessed by an external accessibility auditor, and it has not been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. The known problems above come from that internal review.
