In the sixties colonials the hall bath keeps its tub and the master gets the attention: the surround comes off with the drywall behind it, and a tile shower on a Schluter waterproofing system goes in its footprint, so the plumbing stays put and the money goes to what you see. City sewer everywhere inside the limits, so no septic questions here; the only utility question is whether the house still has galvanized supply lines, and on a 1940s house it might.
