What happens after you send this
Within the hour.
We reply and get a call scheduled, Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 5:00. Often within minutes. Sundays are the exception, we do not usually respond on a Sunday.
The call itself, 15 to 30 minutes.
What you are trying to do, what you have in mind, when you want it done, and what is driving it. By the end of it you will have an honest investment range for your project.
If it is a fit, we come out.
We look at the space and at what is behind it. For a standard bathroom or kitchen we can often write the proposal from that one visit. For anything structural or crossing several trades, we do a design phase first and produce plans before any exact number exists.
A written proposal.
Scope and your actual allowances in it, so what you approve is what gets built.
What helps on the first call
Nothing is required, and any of these makes the range more accurate.
Photos of the space. Rough measurements. Whether you are changing the layout or keeping it. A budget you are working within, even a loose one. Anything you have saved that you like.
If you have nothing, that is fine too. Plenty of people start with a room they do not like and no idea what to do about it.
If we are not the right fit
We will say so on the call rather than after a wasted afternoon.
We are not the right people for a single window, a one-off door repair, or general handyman work. If the smaller version of your project is the better one, we will tell you that too. That has cost us jobs, and it beats taking one we should not have. Everything we do build is on the services page, and there is more on how we work on the about page.
Additions work a little differently. They start with a design and a drawn plan, because until that exists nobody can price the job honestly. We will walk you through how that works on the call.
